She is the Director of the first department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Liver Transplantation setup in the country at Medanta, The Medicity Hospital – Gurgaon.
She is a pioneer in liver transplantation and pediatric hepatology in India and presently runs one of the busiest Pediatric Liver Transplant programme. She is credited with several firsts in this field in the country with few records in the World for liver transplantation and has been conferred with the most prestigious in medicine award “Dr B C Roy National Award” by Hon’ble President of India.
She is Advisor to National Board of Examinations (NBE).

She is a proud alumni of ISB, where she did Advanced healthcare management for a year. Her leadership ability are also reflective of her training from Harvard Medical School on leadership.
She’s President of Commonwealth Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition society (CAPGAN) and is the founder Chairperson of Women’s Forum of Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) besides being an executive member of several national and international societies.
She has achieved several firsts in her field in the country and few in the world during her dynamic career, thus earning her national and global recognition.
She’s a popular academician and has been involved in global and national guidelines in her field of pediatric gastroenterology and liver diseases. She believes knowledge is wisdom and is perpetually updating.
She was first to start training of young doctors in pediatric gastroenterology and liver diseases in 2008 and had trains 4-5 annually.
She is an excellent orator and researcher with >974 presentations (>213 international) , >280 publications, 50 chapters in books and was Associate Editor of most popular Journal of “Transplantation”.
She is India’s one of the most quoted woman doctor in media and has >has 300 press releases in several newspapers along with >200 interviews as expert in various electronic channels (National channel) .
Received numerous Best Paper Awards and Plenary Papers at National Conferences.
She is President of CHILD (children intestinal and liver disease) society which supports children with liver and gastro-intestinal diseases. The society runs several awareness programme for doctors and schools.
