Impedance pH monitoring

Impedance–pH monitoring is a technique used in the diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease, by monitoring both impedance and pH.

Motility studies

An esophageal motility study is a test to assess motor function of the upper esophageal sphincter, esophageal body and lower esophageal sphincter.

Manometry

  • Oesophageal : Esophageal manometry is an outpatient test used to identify problems with movement and pressure in the esophagus that may lead to problems like heartburn. The esophagus is the “food pipe” leading from the mouth to the stomach. Manometry measures the strength and muscle coordination of your esophagus when you swallow.
  • Anorectal : is a test performed to evaluate patients with constipation or fecal incontinence. This test measures the pressures of theanal sphincter muscles, the sensation in the rectum, and the neural reflexes that are needed for normal bowel movements.
