As part of her social responsibility, she runs regular free clinics, health camps for children and organised health awareness seminars. These seminars are conducted for school and college going students where health awareness talks on basic subjects concerning nutrition, healthy liver, how to prevent hepatitis B & C spread.
She has keen interest in women empowerment and development of children, which is the cornerstone for sustainable development of economy and health of a nation.

First wave (2020)
Soon after the onset of covid pandemic in India and once national lockdown was declared, she introduced a ‘COVID help-line’ pan India with 25-30 doctors from different disciplines to allay people’s anxiety while addressing their queries and guiding them appropriately.
She was amongst the first to donate and arrange 600 PPE Kits with 680 N95 masks to civil hospitals and ESI Hospital, Haryana to overcome immediate shortage.
She put up several YouTube videos to address myths and facts about Covid-19 besides being invited as an expert on several news channels like Zee, ABP, News X and India TV.
Created a corpus fund of Rs. 50Lacs to support parents liver transplant in several underprivileged children.
She conducted several webinars for paediatricians at national (15) and international (2)scenarios to educate doctors and the public about the pandemic. Each of her webinar was attended by 2500 to 5000 pediatric doctors.
Second wave (since March 2021)
Invited as a speaker to deliberate on “Covid in children and challenges” in National webinar of Tackling potential threat of third wave of corona, organized by JHARKHAND rural heath mission society – Department of Health, Medical Education Welfare on 23rd May 2021 under the leadership of Hon. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren.
Started an initiative call “Doctor on Wheels” were in a mini bus with doctor, para medical staff and a tele-consultation kit is traveling in the villages of Aligarh (UP) to help the rural population in terms of COVID 19 services. In addition free medicines are also distributed to the needy in these villages. This endeavour was appreciated by NDTV on 5th June 21 and the plan is to expand the services based on supported that can be further generated.
As clinical advisor to start-up venture-DoctCo, my role was defining in identifying the area to work in and charting the course for achieving the goal for Swastha Gaon tak, Swastha Ghar tak! Also saw an opportunity to expand our services to all the major non-communicable diseases i.e., Diabetes, BP, heart, lungs, etc., which are life threatening and require lifelong treatment. I feel proud to say that over 160+ villages have been covered so far and our target is on starting several such buses.

Dr. Neelam Mohan is one of the few women doctors in India who has balanced the various pillars of medical profession and is appreciated as an astute clinician/ healer, bright teacher, researcher, efficient leader/ administrator and for her contribution in social work. She has to her credit many achievements that has put the country on the global medical map.
