She has a vast experience in managing various liver disease in children such as cholestasis, metabolic liver disease, viral hepatitis, fatty liver diseases, liver tumors, acute liver failure etc. In addition over the last two decades of her clinical career she has a vast experience of managing complicated Gastro-intestine (GI) cases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatitis, food allergies, constipation, gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), GI bleed, Hirschsprung disease etc.

Dr. Neelam Mohan
Dr. Mohan's journey in medicine began at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, where she cultivated a dream of developing organ transplant services in India.
Recognizing the pressing need for pediatric liver care, she pursued Further training in Pediatric gastroenterology & hepatology at AIIMS-Delhi and specialized in pediatric liver transplantation in the UK (Birmingham children university).
Upon her return to India in 1999, Dr. Mohan set out to fulfill her dream of establishing a world-class liver transplant program in her homeland.
Her pioneering spirit is evident in her numerous firsts in liver transplantation, pediatric hepatology, and gastroenterology in India. She established the country's first dedicated department in these fields, and her efforts have led to the creation of structured training programs for young doctors, significantly improving healthcare delivery for children nationwide.

Dr. Mohan is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, training numerous women doctors and healthcare staff
She also runs free clinics, health camps, and school awareness seminars, and is a founder member of the ‘Cherry Hill Education Society,’ which provides free basic education to underprivileged children in Delhi.
Led her team to perform liver transplants in some most challenging cases
Including the lightest baby at 2.1 kg, domino liver transplants, and transplants in rare conditions such as factor VII deficiency and ABO mismatch.

She has been representative in Council member of FISPGHAN- Federation of International society of pediatrics which plays global guidelines and works for global advocacy for children GI Liver and malnutrition issues.
